not sure why i feel compelled to share this, but i think about it every now and then, so why not? i first saw this video a couple years ago, of a woman making a traditional noh mask for japanese theater. it is deliberate and meditative, and i found it satisfyingly counter to all the quick, empty calories getting spoon fed from every side these days.
