PAINTER ~ILLUSTRATOR~PRODUCTION ARTIST
Rob Jefferson was born in 1970 on a naval base in Memphis, Tennessee, and has lived predominantly in Cincinnati ever since. A graduate of the Art Academy of Cincinnati with a BFA in painting and drawing (1992), his personal work has been featured in a number of publications including New American Paintings and Playboy Magazine. It can also be found in the permanent collections of the Cincinnati Art Museum, Otterbein College, and in various private collections.
As a freelance artist and sub-contractor, his experiences have ranged from production art for clients including Disney, Warner Brothers, Universal Studios, Fox, Dollywood, and Ripley's Believe It or Not, to theater, museums and special exhibitions. He has also worked as caricaturist, portraitist, muralist, and illustrator covering everything from book and album art to comic book work. In the 1990's, he sculpted for Kenner Toys and through Carl Solway Gallery served as a preparator and production/installation assistant for several artist's including Nam June Paik.
